BCO's staff consists of some of the most experienced and most successful coaches around Vancouver. Many have taken volleyball specific coaching training and are National Coaching Certification Program (NCCP) certified. Please have a look through the short biographies of each Program Coach involved this 2018 volleyball club season that spans from January to May. Other head and assistant coaches will be posted shortly.

|Program Head Coach||Leo Wong||This is Leo's second year with the BCO 13U program and he is excited to bring his experience from other high-level sports to volleyball. Leo is passionate about developing young athletes for future success and pushing them to improve.|
|Program Head Coach||Wesley Webb||Wes has coached all levels of volleyball from Grade 4 to adult programs indoors and on the beach. After playing at Capilano University, he took his vertical to the sand and is now a regular on the Vancouver beach volleyball circuit. Wes is dedicated to ensuring athletes are training holistically, with an emphasis on ensuring athletes are gaining the most from all aspects of training on the court and in the weight room, and through their diets.|
|Program Head Coach||Shannon Hopkins||Shannon played 5 years each at BCO and Queen's University. In 2011, her 18U team won Gold at BC Provincials and Bronze at Nationals. Since returning to North Vancouver in 2015, Shannon has coached at the 16U level, and more recently, BCO Camps and the Volleyball Canada Regional Excellence Program.|
|Program Head Coach||Dan Huzar||Dan has coached volleyball at all ages and levels. He has been an assistant coach with the UBC Women's Volleyball team for over 10 years, and spent the past summer with the Women's National Team and as the head coach of the FISU team. As a head coach at BCO, Dan has coached all age groups, most notably leading the 2015 18U team to the club's first National gold medal.|
|Program Head Coach||Alex Harvalias||Alex, or Harvey, was involved in varsity volleyball for seven years, finishing his last two years of eligibility at the University of Saskatchewan in 2016. Last season, he was the head coach of the 18U Black team which won Division 2 Gold at Provincials. He started as a practice player in his second year at Capilano University and worked his way to a starting spot in his fourth year and helping the Blues capture a provincial title in 2013. With experience coaching a variety of age and skill levels at various organizations, Harvey is eager to continue his coaching career with BCO and contribute to the development of the next generation of Canadian volleyball players.|
|Program Head Coach||Shon Sim||Shon played a year of Junior Varsity of UBC and has been coaching since 1997. He most recently coached the first senior high-school boys' team on the North Shore in many years at Argyle Secondary, and is dedicated to growing boys' volleyball on the North Shore. In 2011 he was the Head Coach of the BCO Boys 16U program which won Division 2 gold at Nationals, with 3 players going on to play post-secondary volleyball. His hope is to see his many young athletes grow into leaders in sport and their community, ultimately giving back as coaches down the road.|
