** Online registration in now closed but registration at the door is available. Please arrive 15 minutes early to complete registration. Fee is $30, cash or cheque.
Note: Same fee regardless of number of sessions attended.
All interested 13U (born 2006) girls are invited to take part in this assessment. 12U athletes can also take part but preference will be given to 13U athletes.
The assessment evaluation will stream athletes into one of the 12/13U development programs:
- Black Stream - for athletes who are ready to move into the next level of development including using the regular weight ball and introduction to concepts of 6 X 6 play. These athletes will train twice a week with a 3rd practice session added after Spring Break. They will attend local tournaments including the Lower Mainland Championships and Provincial Championships for their age group. Due to coaching and gym availability, we are limited to selecting up 14 players for this program. Athletes should take part in the assessment to be considered for the Black Stream and must be available to attend the following mandatory tournaments:
April 13 & 14 13U Lower Mainland Championships
May 4 & 5 13U Provincial Championships
- Development Program (12U & 13U) - provides a continued development program for intermediate and novice level athletes who are not yet ready or cannot make the training commitment for Black Stream. This program includes the option to train once or twice a week and may include optional Play Days with other Volleyball Clubs in the Lower Mainland. Athletes are NOT required to attend the assessment to participate in this program. Athletes in this program will be eligible to be selected to participate in a Spring 12U or 13U team that will selected from an assessment in early late February.
NOTE: The assessments will be run similar to the tryout format used at the older ages so even if you are not interested in participating in the Black Stream, athletes may want to consider attending as an opportunity to get some 'practice' at tryouts.

All participants will attend the 1st and 2nd session. After the 2nd session, the evaluation committee will post on the BCO website a list of athletes (by athlete number) invited to the 3rd session on Nov 25 for further evaluation.
*Parent Meeting - Please meet in the Argyle cafeteria. We will be discussing BCO Club Philosophy and the steps following the assessment sessions.
All participants will take part in the first 2 tryout sessions. Following the 2nd session on Wed Nov 21, the Tryout Evaluation Committee will select athletes invited to the 3rd session for further assessment. This list will be posted by athlete # (assigned to you when you check-in) on the BCO website under 13U Girls Black Assessement
by 6:00pm, Nov 22
Athletes should try to attend the 1st & 2nd sessions as this provides the Evaluators more opportunities to assess the athlete's skill level, however, it is not mandatory to attend both sessions. If you have a conflict, please note this in your registration. We will let the Evaluators know to complete your assessment on the day you can attend.
